[Some students might be a little bit surprised to see Bobby Drake in his full ice form indoors in the common room, but to Kevin, it's not so weird. They're hanging out watching TV, trying to multi-task by standing behind the sofa and practicing a blocking/striking drill that Kevin originally learned from a Madrox dupe. Kevin's still wearing his gloves and is pretty covered up, but Bobby still humors him. He stays in ice form while the two take turns blocking and striking.

Josh is sitting on the sofa in front of them, jeering at something a sports reporter said. Then the news comes on after his program. Josh is about to turn the channel when something makes him stop. It's about mutants. And a group they are all too familiar with.

"Friends of Humanity," Josh says, turning around to face Kevin and Bobby. "The KKK of our world."

Kevin and Bobby keep doing their drill, while looking at the news report on TV. Kevin then meets Bobby's eyes, whose expression is hard to discern in ice form.]

I guess this was the point of all the practice -- being able to keep doing the drill while talking or distracted with other stuff!

[Kevin and Josh are seated in front of the TV of the common room, both of them consulting the papers in their hands. Josh has organized a betting pool for March Madness, and Kevin submitted his brackets to him the other day. Now they're catching up on highlights and making some idle chitchat.]

I'm pretty sure I'm at least going to whoop Jono's ass here. He did his "research" based on prettiest uniforms again. [Josh laughs here and says something about how all the uniforms are ugly before heading to the kitchen for more popcorn. Kevin remains seated on the couch, legs drawn up so he can put his paper on his knees and scribbles out some of the eliminated teams.]

[Julian is sprawled across some couch, propped up by a pillow and the armrest, a book open on his chest. Yes, Julian Keller is reading. Why? He has to, for one class or another. This one's for business and he's actually paying some attention to the words on the page, although every now and then he spaces out, looks off to the side. He's not bored or even necessarily tired anymore, just weary in a way that's starting to get under his skin.

It's quiet where he is; this is the living area most students don't frequent - it's usually occupied by the Cuckoos. Today, however, Julian's in it for the same reason he's been in it more often than the rec room all week: to avoid people. There's just something about what he's working through that makes him a bit anti-social.]

[Ali's idea of training today is a bit more lax and laid back, given the fact that without Forge running adaptive simulations from the control room this session is pretty much self-guided. She's got her jams blasting at top-volume from the internal speaker system, and she's generating her own varying obstacle course out of hard light projections. She's moving hard and fast on her roller skates, popping over walls, tucking and rolling over low brush, and grinding down along rails. It looks like the bastard love child of parkour and extreme roller skating.

She's got no enemies to speak of, she's mostly focusing on improving her speed and agility based on some of the training Logan's been dishing out to all the non-fliers in the house. Come challenge her to something more engaging than perfecting her triple backflip off a high wall.]

Content: Josh is feeling much better after being the local first aid kit.

[Josh always feels pretty crappy after intense healing sessions -- which is basically every single time the mansion gets attacked -- but fortunately, he has the ability to recover from that fairly quickly after waking up. This time he was passed out for about twelve hours after healing everybody involved in the Brotherhood fight, but got up afterwards, said "Bleagh" at the runny oatmeal they shoved at him in the med ward, and headed to the kitchen. After some better food and a talk with Bobby, he's gotten much better.

Now he's taken his skateboard out for a spin, and returns to the mansion feeling refreshed. He's now sitting on the front steps of the mansion wiping off the mud from his skateboard and whistling to himself.]

[Julian just left the showers after a work-out and some extra training, and is walking back to his room to get some more finals studying done. Obviously he's okay with taking his time, because studying is lame and only saved by the presence of Rogue, because if she's there? There's usually not a lot of studying done anyway.

He's sporting a pretty nasty cut over his eye though, because sims can be brutal. It's not bleeding, and he put a butterfly bandage on it, but it probably looks fresh and painful. His head is understandably hurting from it, so studying will be difficult, okay. (Until Josh heals him, of course.)]

It's thanksgiving weekend. Anyone who hasn't gone home to their family is milling about. The faculty has sprung for an enormous bird and all the fixings, with some student volunteers to help out with preparations. Dinner is around 6ish, possibly later.

Post here with any and all Thanksgiving related activities you desire. Tell people who you're thankful for, gorge yourself of foodstuffs, get excessive with your shopping, do the hokey pokey with a native american headdress. Just have fun! Logan, like me, is probably somewhere grousing about how Thanksgiving was back in October, but (like me) he's not going to complain about a turkey dinner do-over!
