SECOND IMPORTANT NOTE: It's been nearly a day since John has disappeared, along with Logan. There are whispers and rumors floating around school that John has left for the Brotherhood again and Logan has followed to skewer him. Some people say they ran away together to fall in love and join the circus though. Keep it in mind!

[Josh eyes the approaching Havok, who has now managed to wake up and get back up on his feet. Damn, Josh thinks to himself, really should've held on to him a second longer. Havok hasn't been out for long.

Now, Josh gets ready to face him again, and is liking his chances of squaring off with Havok better than Polaris, who could fly.

Josh meets Laura's eye contact, breaks away from her, and goes around. Laura will meet Havok head-on and engage him. Josh will attack from the side or behind and use his destructive touch. It's a move they've practiced before.]

[Havok is dazed and disoriented; Laura approaches fast and purposefully, zigzagging just enough to be a target. His lip curls up in annoyance; he doesn't look for Josh right away, instead raises his hand and lets out a violent pulse.

Laura dodges it just barely, rolls out of the way although it skims and sear her side. She's off the cool grass in an instinct letting out a guttural growl; at the last moment Havok lets out a pulse from his chest, throwing Laura back; she lands on her back several yards away.]

[In the ruckus, Josh comes in from an angle and violently tackles Havok -- a move he learned from high school football. With yells from both of them, they roll along the ground for a moment til Josh gets a good hold of Havok and begins to use his body-manipulating powers. Josh's hands don't grow black they way they do when taking life, but remain gold as he uses his powers to change Havok's physiology exactly the way Josh wants it to. Josh then lets go, and the bigger mutant's screams die down until he is silent.]

He's not dead.

[Josh says this to reassure both himself and Laura.]

I've shut down a lot of his body functions, but he's alive. Out for a lot longer than before, though.

i figure they can help rogue whenever she needs the distraction!

Good. [Laura walks up to Josh's side, claws still out. Her skin is healing as she does it, ugly burns reapidly smoothing into unmarred, dirty skin. She looks to Josh.]

We are not finished.

[She looks pointedly to Polaris and Rogue, back to Josh.]

She will sense me attacking from behind.

Yes, for sure!

[Josh nods and braces himself for another similar attack.]

Then you'll have to take her head on as my distraction. But Laura --

[Josh bites back his worry; they're in battle and don't have time for doubts. Josh does worry though -- anybody who can twist metal is bad news for Laura. So instead, he decides to go with:]

I'll be as fast as I can.

Go ahead and tag whatever! :D We're just playing by ear right now mostly, although I'm totally looking for an ~endgame here with John using the nullifying gun on Mystique, and somehow saving the real Kitty when she shows up. It's all subject to how this plays out I guess though. But go ahead! Get Kevie involved!

[Polaris isn't too busy with Rogue to overlook the incapacitation of her lover and she turns on Josh and Laura with hate and rage burning in her eyes. Laura freezes dead in the air once more, but Lorna's eyes are focused don Josh and filled with vengeance.]

Not fast enough.

[Her hand flies open, a thrusting gesture sends Laura, claws extended, directly at Josh. Lorna grins, satisfied with how deeply the adamantium claws have sunk into Josh's gold flesh, but wants some distance to properly deal with Rogue. She flings them, joined by Laura's claws, as far as she possibly can.]
