SECOND IMPORTANT NOTE: It's been nearly a day since John has disappeared, along with Logan. There are whispers and rumors floating around school that John has left for the Brotherhood again and Logan has followed to skewer him. ~~Some people say they ran away together to fall in love and join the circus though.~~ Keep it in mind!

[Julian is, obviously, not in his room with The Amazing Rainbow Homo. He's in Rogue's room studying. Tapping those books real hard. So if anyone needs to invite him on any secret missions, that is where he is. Dot, dot, dot.

Or perhaps if his girlfriend wants to talk about John leaving for eviler pastures in the meantime.]

[Jono was getting a cramp in his neck from sitting in the same position for so long, so he got up and took a quick run. Returning to his room, he glances at his computer screens - he's got his laptop and desktop both running an algorithm programmed to scour the internet for various search terms and browse the latest news sites, hoping to pin down a location. All to find Kevin. Now he's pacing the room nervously, going over the likeliest possibilities in his head. Then he slams down his fist, makes a decision, and raps on Ali's door. Before she even opens it though, he calls out to her.]

This isn't fast enough, Ali. We gotta find a better way.

[Ali's bundled up in a blanket when she finally opens the door, her hair is a mess and her eyes are red from crying. It's been harder not to since, after her talk with Julian, she's actually tried to stop drinking as much. She groggy and dazed, looking up at Jono blankly.]

What? Stop babbling at me, Starsmore. Start making sense or I'm going back to bed.

[Josh had told Bobby that Julian was probably with Rogue, so here Bobby is, standing at Rogue's door. It's weird. But he's here about a mission, so he puts aside his feelings and just knocks.

The door is opened by Rogue a second later. He gives her a quick smile.]

Hey Rogue.

[Bobby looks past her to Julian, raises his chin slightly in greeting.] Julian. I need to talk to you for a minute.

[Normally, Jono would probably have snapped at Ali to get her act together and shape up. Now, looking at her red, puffy eyes, he is completely awkward and doesn't know what to say.]

Uh... there there, Ali. [He pulls her into a half-hug, and then leans her back to look at her at arm's length - and his arms are pretty long.]

I'm coming up with a few decent hits on my online search, but it's not fast enough. People are already gone. Some may know for sure where he is. [Jono swallows nervously, now resorting to saying him instead of Kevin's name.]

Somebody knows. That's all I'm saying. We'll just have to find out, and go to him.

[Well this is just... fucking odd. Julian's face is an expression of confusion, and he shoots Rogue a look as he climbs off her bed and strolls over to take the door from her.]

[Bobby's gaze flickers briefly to Rogue, and he presses his lips together.] Uh... do you mind if we...

[He jerks his head to the side, indicating for Julian to step out and shut the door. Bobby walks a few steps away, just out of earshot from Rogue's door.]

[The hug is a comfort, awkward though it is, and she wipes her face with the corner of the blanket as Jono's words are sinking in. Her eyes snap to clarity at "Somebody knows."]

Who? [She straightens, throwing off the blanket and ushering him inside her room, peeking down the hallway to see if anyone's around. She's getting the feeling the two of them have been left to suffer blindly in the dark intentionally, and she doesn't like it. She closes the door and puts a small part of her mind to monitoring the sounds in the hall, damping their voices.] Who knows? When did this happen? Why weren't we told?

[Panic hits her for a split second, thinking of her sister. Kevin would be safe considering any mission would be centered around rescuing him, but Lois? She instinctively grips Jono's arm, her fingers digging into muscle.] Who's gone already?

[Oh now that earns another look in Rogue's direction. He nearly mouths the words "what the hell?" to his girlfriend, brows furrowed, but still follows Bobby out of the room, shutting the door behind him.

Julian simply blinks away the strange and suspicious nature of the request and walks the few steps forward to face Bobby.]

All right, we're alone, weirdo. [He looks Bobby up and down, for the first time noticing the grave look in his eyes. His questions are, for that reason, a tinge more concerned.] What is it? Is Ali okay?

She's... [Bobby was going to say 'fine', but it would have been a lie.] She's the same.

[He lets out a small sigh, folds his arms.]

You know John and Logan have gone, yeah?

I was looking for John earlier before I went out for a run, and a few of his things in the room are gone. But I mean -- not like, completely empty. [Jono's quick to tack on this last part. The last thing they want right is more people leaving.]

I don't know for sure who all is gone, but it's definitely emptier around here. People are buzzing. I don't know who knows, but someone sure as hell does. And we have to find out.

Yeah, we were just talking about it... [Julian gestures to Rogue's door, somewhat relieved and assuaged now that this isn't about Ali, but now extremely concerned. Something is wrong.] What the hell's going on, Bobby?

[Bobby sets his jaw.] This needs to be kept quiet, alright? Everything I'm about to say to you. It's privileged information. [His eyes flick to Rogue's door, then back to Julian, expression completely serious.] Nobody else can know.

Okay. [Alarm bells are ringing, but finally, finally Ali has some reason to pull herself out of the rut of entropy she's been in. She breathes deeply, trying to clear her mind.] Okay, okayokay. I know Forge's been working on some super secret project for Logan, it could be nothing, but it's somewhere to start. I think he's in the city for a meeting this afternoon, I'll find out when. We'll go, check things out; I'll need you to come, I don't understand any of that tech crap.

[She rolls her shoulders, feeling adrenaline creep into her cells again.] In the meantime, we should get around. Keep you mind open for noisy thinkers, and I'll do what I see what I can hear.

[Julian follows Bobby's eyes and hesitates for just a moment.] Yeah, whatever. What's going on? [He's totally bullshitting Bobby, but he's too worried now to argue over whatever shit Bobby's worried about. He'll decide what to tell Rogue when he knows. Like hell he's going to let her ex-boyfriend dictate what he shares.]

Right. [Jono smirks at "noisy thinkers." He gives her a curt nod and then gives her an encouraging slap on the shoulder.]

Call me, or send me a telepathic message, whatever. Get word to me on when we should meet at the lab. We'll figure this out. Even if there are no solid answers from Forge's lab, we might be able to connect the right dots together using what I found from my online searches.

[He gives her another reassuring squeeze on the arm, and then, for the first time in months, looks prepared and purposeful.] We'll find him.

[Bobby gazes at Julian a moment, considering his words. When he speaks, his voice is flat and even. Only his expression betrays how concerned he is, how serious this matter is.]

John's gone back to the Brotherhood as a mole. Logan's out there to keep an eye out. Emma's not happy about this whole plan, so she's sending me out with a small team for backup. I want you on that team.

[She nods, grabbing his sleeve and turning him back to face her as he's leaving her room.] Nobody knows about this, Starsmore. Nobody. [She meets his eyes with earnesty and urgency.] This is just you and me.

[Summoned by a telepathic shout from Ali, Jono is jogging up to the door of Forge's lab.]

Got the keys?

[Julian's brows raise at this: high. He leans in, looking back to Rogue's door again. He's not sure what confuses him more - why the hell Bobby's asking him or why John, who always seemed to Julian like a slimy self-important weasel, would put his life on the line for anyone. And yeah maybe he feels a flash of envy and confusion that Emma went to Bobby, but he expels it. Bobby's an X-man. Why wouldn't she?]

Nobody else knows? [He means Ali, obviously, but doesn't voice it.] When do we leave?

I'm going to talk to Kitty; I want her with us. But beyond her and Emma, nobody knows, not even Logan.

[Bobby is somewhat... relieved that Julian is on board so quickly. He knew that he would agree - Julian is always prepared for a mission, and that's something Bobby appreciates - but he had maybe expected more questions.]

Emma wants to brief us once I've gotten Kitty on board. We're leaving straight after that. Got a lot of ground to cover.

[Ali jangles them, popping the door open quickly for them to slip inside. She stares around helplessly for a moment, no clue where to start. She goes for a huge stack of papers next to Forge's computer.] What...is all this crap?

[Bobby knocks on the door of the room Kitty shares with Laura, and for the first time in a long time, he's hoping that Laura isn't there.]

[Oh, Julian has questions. They're coming. He simply nods at the reassurance that nobody knows, listens intently to the rest. Him, Kitty, Bobby. Small, effective team. But against the Brotherhood? Julian looks to the ground for a short second.]

We're not a lot of people for an entire Brotherhood, Iceman. And why just me? Rogue has just as much experience, more even.

[Any other time, Jono would've teased her merciless for her computer-ineptitude, but right now, he's too focused on the task at hand. He ruffles through the printouts on Forge's desk, and then, prompted by something he reads, enters a code into the computer, which has been left on.]

No, this is good. Some of this intel matches one of the possibilities that I pulled up from my search. They all seemed pretty likely, but like I said before -- with this info, I can narrow it down to just one place. [He nods, mostly to reassure himself, and affirms the newfound information again.]

Yeah. This is good.
