SECOND IMPORTANT NOTE: It's been nearly a day since John has disappeared, along with Logan. There are whispers and rumors floating around school that John has left for the Brotherhood again and Logan has followed to skewer him. Some people say they ran away together to fall in love and join the circus though. Keep it in mind!

[Ali drives more carefully than she normally would, knowing Jono's anal retentive attitude toward his car. When he asks the question, Ali can't help but laugh, giving him a wry look across the car.]

Why's it always gotta be my plan, then? Can't you think of something every once in a while? [This earns a chuckle for both of them, though Ali quickly sobers, realizing they don't have much of a plan, and should probably get cracking on that. She thinks back, trying to remember everything she shut out of her mind from the last time she approached a brotherhood camp.] We can't take the ground trails, they're too easy to monitor. That's how...that's what I did wrong last time, I think.

We should ditch the car a town over and hitch into a trailhead. Once we get close to the main trail, I say we take to the trees. It'll be trickier, but ultimately better cover. I think can... [She frowns, not actually sure if she's capable of what she's planning, but her will is set and she is determined. It's their best chance of knowing where to go, she they're not wandering aimlessly through the mountains.] If I can concentrate, I'll be able to grab the sound for a couple of miles at least, hopefully, pick up which direction we should go in.

[She looks at him, her face concerned. If she fails, she's not just letting down herself, she's letting down Jono. Kevin. Lois.] What do you think?

[Jono affirms this all with a nod, and soon they're able to pull over and leave the car. Jono starts freaking out just a little bit.]

I'm SOL if I don't get this car back. I hope it's safe.

[They then take to the woods, with Jono keeping quiet so Ali can concentrate. He speaks one last time.]

We should be real close.
