[Kitty's strangely glad it's Rogue and pleased she didn't bump into one of the faculty, though she's apologetic all the same.] Hey! I'm sorry, I'll watch where I'm headed next time. How are you? [She's genuinely curious, it's been a while since they've spoken and she's heard enough from Bobby to know stuff is changing in Rogue's life.]

[She shrugs it off. It's no big deal really.] I've been... good for the most part. How about you? I've been meaning to come find you to say hi and all. [Rogue's actually been meaning to say more than just hi. Kitty's pretty much the only one of her friends she can talk to about this sort of stuff.]

I'm fine! Busy with classes, but that's nothing new. [She raises her eyebrows, catching something in Rogue's tone.] For the most part? Anything in particular getting you down?

[Rogue looks at her feet for a moment before sheepishly meeting her friend's gaze.] There's a uhh... it's possible I've gone a bit crazy or something. [Yeah, she's still processing the whole dating Julian thing.]

[Kitty frowns a little, and not in a 'take your crazy away from me' way. No, she's just concerned.] The mansion's still standing, so I'm sure it can't be that bad. [Kitty cracks a smile, beckoning Rogue to walk down the hall with her. It's always easier to talk about stressful stuff when moving about, or at least in her experience it is.] Crazy in what way, though?

Well, not that sort of crazy. [Rogue pushes her hair back behind an ear as they walk, not looking directly at her friend.] I'm kinda dating Julian now.

[Kitty tries her best to look more surprised than she actually is. Bobby gave her the heads up at the bonfire, but she's not so sure he wants Rogue to know he's bothered by it, so she's making an effort to look like this is the first time she's heard of it.] Dating? Dating as in he's calling you his girlfriend and taking you out? [Kitty grins as she says this, because really, she's happy for Rogue, incredibly so. While some people have other impressions, she knows Julian's a genuinely good guy.]

Yeah, uhhh he's taking me somewhere on Friday. [Rogue can't help but smile at her friend's infectious grin. It's good to know that at least someone thinks this isn't insanity. She does, however, catch on to a bit of Kitty's lack of surprise and this sinking feeling in her stomach.] Please don't tell me that it's made its way through the gossip vine already.

You better fill me in when you get back. [Kitty shakes her head, and figures it won't be so bad if she catches wind that Bobby told her - it's preferable than to leaving Rogue under the impression that everyone already knows.] Nope, I only know because Bobby's a little worried Julian's going to hurt you somehow.

[Rogue stops dead in her tracks as soon as Bobby's name gets mentioned.] Shit. [It takes a second before she catches up again. She's not sure exactly how she was planning on letting her ex-boyfriend know about this but she's pretty sure she hadn't planned on him already having some sort of clue about it.] Bobby. He... he already knows?

[Kitty literally wants to kick herself. She didn't exactly expect Rogue to be so surprised, and only now it occurs to her that maybe Julian didn't mention his brush with Bobby. Perfect.] No! [Kitty sighs and rakes a hand through her hair. She can't take what she's said back.] Well, not that you're dating - he's just gotten the hint that Julian likes you. [She decides to leave the part where Bobby said he'd threatened to beat Julian up if he messed up with Rogue. Nope, that's definitely not for her to tell.] But, you know, I think he will find out for sure soon. I won't say a word, but you know how talk goes around here. Maybe it would be best if he heard it from you first?

[Rogue would like nothing better than to bash her head against the wall right now to make this all go away. She lets out a frustrated and resigned sigh.] Yeah, I know. You're right. I just really don't... it ain't a conversation I really want to have especially seeing how things ended and all. [It's probably a good thing Kitty left the threat out. Rogue would not be amused by that little conversation between the boys. ]
