Characters: Everyone! Even if you plan for your characters not to go on this trip, they can be doing other things here or talking about what they plan to do while the others are away.
Setting: The mansion.
Content: An open, free-for-all thread for all characters to talk about planning for their upcoming getaway to London (Jono's trip, which everyone else has appropriated for the whole school)
Status: Open and incomplete. Really, just talk about anything!

Jono was in the kitchen of the X-mansion, stocking up on snack foods for the plane ride, but it seemed to surprise Josh how little he was packing. "I'm going to pack for the plane," Jono explained, "and then buy food there. You didn't expect me to bring food to my hometown, did you? I have to eat what I can get over there!"

Meanwhile, some members of the staff were surveying the damage done to the west wing of the mansion during their recent attack by Kimura. "Oh well," Logan shrugged it off. "We'll bill it to the school, and anyway, most of the kids will be gone for the trip. Saves a lot of hassle not having people around for the construction."

Fortunately for the students, most of their living quarters hadn't been damaged, so they were able to pack their still-intact clothes and other necessities. As the days grew nearer to the trip, anticipation and excitement levels were rising.

"What's the deal with you and Gayle, now?" Josh asked Jono, as the two of the paused for a cookie break.

"Dunno," Jono answered with a shrug. "I mean... we'll see." He stuffed more cookies into his mouth and then said for an abrupt change in topic, "I wonder what everyone else is up to."

"Except that's not gonna be our band name." She was insistent, nodding at Kevin, who had just dropped in. "I think we should call the band 'Jono and his Stupid Feelings' since that's why we're going all the way to that godforsaken rainsoaked country."

"What?! What in heavens are you blabbering about?" Jono said. "I don't have stupid feelings, except annoyed that our band can't agree on a name."

"You know exactly what I'm blabbering about! You have big stupid guilt feelings about blowing this girl up, and you're dragging half the student body overseas to cover up your big stupid guilty pilgrimage to fix it all." She poked him in the chest. "And I don't mind a free vacation, or a little overseas publicity, but come on! Think of it, your name in lights Jono!" Her hand sparkled for a moment, JONO AND HIS STUPID FEELINGS appearing in front of them on a billboard. "We can live the dream!"

"All right, stop, stop!" Jono said, waving his hands in front of him for emphasis. Ignoring the name-in-lights comment, he said, "I am not dragging everybody with me! It was supposed to be just Josh and me, and everyone else decided to tag along for fun! And so what if I have big stupid guilt feelings? It's nobody else's business."

Jono wasn't angry at Ali, but mostly still a little angry at himself, and sat down on an amp with a scowl on his face, crossing his arms.

Ali frowned, her little holo-projection dying on her fingertips. She hadn't meant to set him off at all and was sorry for bringing it up.

"Buddy, it was just a joke." She slung an arm around him and dug her chin into his shoulder. "We've all got big stupid guilt feelings, and lots of other stupid feelings. Look at Kevin! He's the emo king of all things stupid and guilty!"

"You know," Kevin said, looking at Jono, "I'm starting to realize why all her other bands broke up!"

Ali hadn't really been around for the majority of Jono's mopey days, he realized.

"It's fine," he growled to Ali, and then turned to Kevin. "She sure has a knack for breaking up bands, huh?" At least Jono was starting to joke around again.

"I do not break up bands!" She huffed at both of them. "I just...have a knack for finding trouble that wants me out of town on the quickfast, okay!"

"Yeah," Kevin said glumly, looking at the ground. "I know how that must feel," he said, thinking of his quick getaway from Atlanta.

"God, you two are a pair of sad bastards tonight!" She grabbed them both for a group hug, ignoring Kevin's squawk of protest. "We're taking London by storm, boys!"

Oh you guys. You guys, I love you.

Ali is so right. Everyone has stupid feelings. In fact, arguably, they're the only kinds of feelings anyone in this school has! XD
