SECOND IMPORTANT NOTE: It's been nearly a day since John has disappeared, along with Logan. There are whispers and rumors floating around school that John has left for the Brotherhood again and Logan has followed to skewer him. ~~Some people say they ran away together to fall in love and join the circus though.~~ Keep it in mind!

I am not Rogue. [This is the first time that Piotr's psyche has ever ended up gaining control before. Thankfully, he's at least willing to help, turning and punching a ninja back into the wall and knocking another two to the floor.

It's the psyche's lack of experience that works to Rogue's favour and she's able to fight her way forward again for a few moments.] Forge, you gotta shoot me or knock me out or something. [This is a lot easier when she trains with Logan who doesn't hesitate to gut her if she needs it. Forge, on the other hand, definitely looks like he's going to argue.] Just do-- [And then she's gone again and Piotr's back, looking a little bit more miffed than before. Or at least as ticked off as a metal expression can get.]

[Forge ducks, rolls out of the way of a fistful of ninjas that the Rogue-Colossus amalgamation has thrown at him. He frowns. Rogue had told him to knock her out, something similar to what Logan had instructed him to do in such a situation, but...

He considers the metal form hulking toward him, pops out his taser, making a quick modification to the voltage, and aiming at Rogue.

Here's hoping that organic metal is as conductive as the regular stuff...]

Sorry, Tovarisch...

[He fires.]

[Thankfully, the taser does its job and Rogue-Colossus ends up on the ground, knocked out of play for the time being. It's a long half minute before Rogue's skin finally makes the shift away from organic metal and back to normal. A second later, she's back, rolling on to her hands and knees, trying to ground herself as she struggles to reign in the psyches. She's focusing now, completely concentrated on the task at hand and shoving the psyches back in their mental boxes.]

[Her voice sounds a bit hoarse and she doesn't look up at him yet. Part of it's because she's still focused on the psyches and part of it's because she's a bit embarrassed to have lost control like that especially in front of someone who wasn't exactly privy to her issues as of late.]

Don't worry about it.

[Forge is hoarse himself, breathless, he ends the simulation just in time to stop Elektra's heeled boot from colliding with Rogue's head. He crouches on the ground, regaining his composure for a moment. Sweat trickles into his eyes and he has to pull up the hem of his shirt to wipe them clear. When he can finally glance over to her, offering an abashed smile.]

Guess I'm not quite on par with Logan.

Heh. [It's another long moment before Rogue finally rocks back onto her heels, wincing as she rubs at one particularly sore shoulder. A quick glance down makes up her mind for her and she borrows Wolverine's healing factor for a minute, watching the wound close up. Finally, she looks up, meeting Forge's eyes but still clearly embarrassed.] Logan just usually ends up gutting me. This hurt a lot less.

He what? [Forge's eyes go wide, obviously not so well versed in Rogue's condition. Or Logan's training methods, he realizes. He frowns, moving to offer her a hand--his fabricated one--to help her to her feet.] I guess I don't feel so bad, then.

[He stays close to her, making sure she's alright probably longer than is necessary. He smiles, unsure if it's appropriate to give her shoulder a squeeze.]

You ok?

[After a beat, she takes offered hand, pulling herself to her feet again. She's let the healing factor fade away now. It may heal wounds but it's not much help against aches and bruises.] Yeah, I'll be... I'll be fine. [She drops her gaze, hand moving to rub at her sore shoulder again.] Sorry, I'm usually a lot more in control than that. Or at least lately. I uhh... I don't know how much Logan told you about uhm... [Rogue's voice trails off. She feels really bad that he had to both witness and deal with what just occurred.]

He told me... [Forge wonders if it's accurate to say "enough". Probably not, all things considered. He didn't do a very good job of, well, anything in this situation. Short of tasering his intended pupil.] Well, I guess hearing about isn't really the same as seeing you in action.

But... [He furrows his brow. He's really not used to training anyone. His talents lie in programming to die for simulations and running manual overrides in the control room. He isn't exactly sure how this whole follow-up thing is supposed to go.] I meant more, uhm, the thing with your mentor. And boyfriend. And ex-boyfriend.
[He feels a little lame asking, but...it seems like the right thing to do.] Are you feeling...any better?

[Rogue nods, feeling a little bit awkward.] Yeah, I uhh... punching ninjas helped. [She offers a half smile. It's an awkward situation for both of them. She's not used to training like this with anyone besides Logan and she's still not completely comfortable with having had such a drastic loss of control in front of him. But instead, she just tries to continue the thread of this "conversation."] How about you?

Yeah. Uh. [Awkwardness abounds! Forge wishes he had something to busy himself with, and then remembers how desperately important it is that he re-recalibrate the taser in his leg. So, he's speaking down at the open panel in his metallic lower limb.] I'm still pissed off. Probably will be for a while.

[Oh hi there awkwardness. Rogue drops her gaze again, nodding and then biting her lip nervously. The adrenaline's starting to wear off. Her entire body hurts and she's currently thinking longingly of a shower and sleep.] I uhm... thanks for runnin' the sim with me and for... for shootin' me before. [The words start out sounding weird to her ears and then they just sound kind of funny. Because thanking someone for shooting you is just downright ridiculous.]

Yeah. Sure. [Ridiculous? Yeah, Forge agrees. Wholeheartedly. He'll definitely think harder about taking over for Logan as mentor and impaler (or in this case, electrocutioner?) next time. Still, he has to admit...before the whole shooting incident, he was kind of having fun.] Anytime?

[He can't help it, his ludicrous response makes him burst out laughing. He shakes his head, giving Rogue an amused smile.]

Think we can gloss over the details of this for Logan when he gets back?

I'm pretty sure that Logan never needs to know that happened. [Rogue can't help grinning too and there might even be a bit of a laugh there.] I think the report can start and end with ninjas.
