[Rogue's sitting in the kitchen with a steaming hot mug of tea and some random book that has absolutely nothing to do with class or her exams. Shhh, she's procrastinating! Don't tell anyone! But, y'know, feel free to bother her.]

[Ali doesn't talk, just nods. She doesn't believe Rogue, but that's okay. She wishes she could help this fear and anxiety that's slowly taking her over. Rogue barely seems affected at all, and this kind of bugs Ali. Just a little. She wishes she was keeping the same kinda cool.] Well, whatever. No point worryin' about the thunder till the rain comes.

[A glance over at the older girl makes Rogue want to wince. Ali didn't believe her, didn't believe the actual truth. She takes a deep breath before letting it out in a woosh of air, trying to figure out how to word this.] Look, Ali... I was serious before. A lot of us around here are scared of the Brotherhood and I'm not just sayin' that.

[Ali cracks her neck, trying to shove this big rubbery one back where it belongs, but she can't. She is scared. She's fucking terrified. It makes her so nervous being in the same room as John, now that his powers have been returned to him, and the mere thought of facing Longshot again...Plus, her sister. Ali can't shake the feeling, sometimes it even feels like a premonition, that one of these days her sister will show up, and maybe Ali's life won't be on the line, but someone else's could be. Someone Ali cares about. Someone she loves.]

I guess it just seems scarier this time, you know. With something to lose...
