[Rogue's sitting in the kitchen with a steaming hot mug of tea and some random book that has absolutely nothing to do with class or her exams. Shhh, she's procrastinating! Don't tell anyone! But, y'know, feel free to bother her.]

Thank you, sweetheart. [He says this in a low voice, with a knowing smile, and kisses the side of her temple. He sits, leans back and takes a drink of his beer, using his powers to put all the supplies and food away in their rightful places. He'll never get tired of that.]

I make an awesome sandwich, sugar. [He corrects her playfully with a charming grin, because his sandwiches are awesome, and that's why Ali always wants him to make her one. He spins in his seat, sets his beer down, and takes his own bite. Sorry, Rogue, he also speaks through the gob of food in his mouth. But he's not facing her while he's doing it, and the bite is on the side of his mouth he's not talking through. That counts for something?] You're a lucky girl.

[It's okay, she can deal with it. She rolls her eyes and gives him this mock serious look.] You're right. An awesome sandwich maker is exactly what I was looking for in a boyfriend. It's a miracle I found one.
