Content: There’s no I in Team when you’re taking down a Sentinel.

Notes: In order to get some vaguely even numbers, Kayt and Bria decided to throw some NPCs in there. If you have one on your team, make use of them! They won’t bite. Besides that, everyone just have fun with this! Kick some shiny metal ass!


By now, the students had definitely learned to be apprehensive when Emma and Logan were waiting for them in the Danger Room with those amused smirks.

“We’ll be doing something a bit different today and possibly for some of the foreseeable future. You’ll be split into teams of four to take on a Sentinel,” Emma greeted the students calmly despite how drastically they were changing the morning sessions.

“Some of you have shown your stuff as leaders, some of you can follow orders well. All of you need to exercise your ability to do both. We’ve split you up into four teams, each team will be delegated a leader for the session. If you are a leader, you will lead. If you are not,” Logan’s eyes fell heavily on a few choice students, “you will follow orders.”

“Those of you who are not a part of the current simulation will observe from the control room and take note of what works and what does not works for the other teams. You may find this useful for your own runs.”

“Keep tight, work together. Leadership is not about taking the glory for yourself,” another pointed look at more choice students, “following orders is not about letting someone else do the hard work. If you have any ideas about showboating or dragging ass there will be consequences.” As if he wasn’t clear enough, Logan illustrated his point with an ominous sound that every student understood: ’SNIKT

Team 4: Chamber, Shadowcat, Cuckoos, Jubilee

You're facing off against some space-age prototype sentinel models obtained from a raid on Bolivar Trask's personal offices. They're quick and flight ready like the nati-magneto models, but are also outfitted with hyperdense carbon based alloys that will make penetration difficult. Chamber has been selected as team leader.

Respond here with your reactions to this assignment, your team, it's leader selection and, of course, your opponent. As Jubilee is an NPC, use her as much as you like. She's a firecracker, you love her.

Observers, you are in the control room. If you are compelled, play your part as part of the peanut gallery.

Shadowcat, maybe these things can be shut down from the inside. See if you can get into the main CPU, do some damage, and just bash it up if that's all it takes.

Cuckoos, keep an eye on her while she does so. Jubilee, you and I will do some firepower attacks on them.

[The Cuckoos are standing off to the sidelines, eyes glowing white and connecting their teammates' thoughts, just as an added bonus to keeping watch over Kitty's progress. Shadowcat is approaching the nearest model with a determined look on her face, unconcerned with the shots the Sentinel takes at her; they phase right through her, never making a hit.]
