[He's laughing at her slight about Josh, his shoulder hunching and his face alight with a flashing grin as he steps back to lessen the pain of her little poke.] Ultimate heartache? Oh gorgeous, whoever dumps you will be experiencing the ultimate aching, courtesy of me.

[Ali's just the tiniest bit exasperated at this whole idea that she might need someone else's help in the case of heartbreak. She's a big girl and she can more than take care of herself.]

Ok, Julian. You're my heroic best friend, got it. [She can't help but smile a little at him because she realizes as she says it, that's exactly what he is. Also, a big pain the butt, but that's okay, too.] Really, though, just chill. I'm not some pussy little teenager, I don't need someone else to take care of me.

You chill out, beautiful. [He gives her a look, still bemused, his gaze a little bit soft at her smile.] What kind of friend would I be if I didn't threaten him with bodily harm? I didn't say you couldn't handle yourself.

A less irritating one? [Her eyes sparkle mischeviously.] So, are you ready? We're gonna have to pull some epic Jackass-inspired pranks.

You know I am, sweetheart. All of our others pranks will be looking like a field trip.

[Ali's getting excited at the prospect. It's pretty damn funny to watch her bounce around and babble.]

I was thinking, if we get enough flour, you could float that shit above the roof and antique the whole school!

That could be arranged... [God knows Julian has enough money to buy that much flour. He gives it a thoughtful face, lifting a hand to even stroke his chin.

So, what've you been up to? Back on US time yet?

Getting there. Have a fucking pile of schoolwork to do on my desk though. [He looks super excited about it. Obviously, he hasn't touched it yet.] You?

Not much, still been feeling a little off since the riot. Take a bit more to keep from just walking around glowing all the time, been picking up sound waves from farther away, too. [She stops babbling, twisting her mouth into a wry grin.] I'm working on it though.

Been writing a couple songs, picking up some extra cash at a couple clubs in town. You know. The usual.

[His first knee-jerk reaction is to be concerned, but that's tempered by a small smile. Ali can handle herself, right? It doesn't take much but concentration to control your powers; Julian's learned that many times over.] Sounds like you're busier than me, Blaire.

Not hard to be busier than a lazy slob like you. [She winks, grins.]
