[open log] stranger in a strange land - a day in the life of Scott Summers
Characters: Scott Summers, you.
Setting: Assorted mansion locations.
Content: A typical day in the (second) life of Scott Summers.
Status: Open and incomplete.
Similar to
petitebelette 's entry for Julian, except Scott just doesn't have much to do these days, so it's just morning, afternoon, evening and night. Either commentspam format or prose responses are fine, I'll run with it! I really, truly don't have anything already planned for Scott, so if you have an idea of how your character would relate to him, jump in and let's see where it goes.

Morning: Breakfast of champions
Re: Morning: Breakfast of champions
Hi.
Re: Morning: Breakfast of champions
Shii... ii...ohhh hey. Hi. It's, ah, you're Laura, right?
Re: Morning: Breakfast of champions
Re: Morning: Breakfast of champions
That's right. I really hate to ask you this, but - have we spoken before? I've had some memory...issues.
Re: Morning: Breakfast of champions
Re: Morning: Breakfast of champions
Well, that's good. That I haven't forgotten anything, I mean. Are you here from Massachusetts?
Re: Morning: Breakfast of champions
No. I am a clone of Logan's. I was the first successful embryo of twenty-three bred and trained at the Facility. I escaped two-point-five years ago and burned the building and everything in it. Logan offered me shelter.
Re: Morning: Breakfast of champions
Logan was smart to bring you here. It's a good place. You're an extreme case, but...I think you'll find that a lot of us came from similar situations.
It's nice to meet you, Laura. Do you run?
Re: Morning: Breakfast of champions
Yes. It increases overall stamina.
Re: Morning: Breakfast of champions
Yes, it does. Stamina is something I don't have much of anymore. I'm taking a few laps, you're welcome to join me.
Re: Morning: Breakfast of champions
Afternoon: Hangin' around
Evening: It gets hard when the sun goes down
Re: Evening: It gets hard when the sun goes down
Let's see what you got?
I'm going to have to learn more about basketball if Scott wants to keep playing
Let's do it. How's your jump shot?
Re: I'm going to have to learn more about basketball if Scott wants to keep playing
I fail at RP
You know, I have to say that not much is going on. Kind of a miracle around here.
What's going on with you?
Night: You should be in bed, young man

You've been down here a lot lately. Something keeping you up?
no subject
I'm always down here. It's the only time I can eat my ice cream without having to hand it round.
[He sobers slightly, smile fading.]
Plus, I've had a lot on my mind.
no subject
I'm sorry to hear that. What's getting you down?
no subject
[He tries to keep his tone light, because he's not sure how much he really wants to get into an entire conversation about his (lack of) love life with someone who used to be his teacher.]
no subject
Girls are complicated, that's for sure. What kind of trouble?
no subject
[He's looking intently at his ice cream because he doesn't really want to look at Scott.]
I... [Sigh.] I just miss her, that's all.
no subject
That's tough. You two were pretty close.
no subject
[He finally looks up from his ice cream.]
I know it's been almost four months, and I should just... get over it. But I can't.
no subject
Don't be so hard on yourself, Bobby. It takes a lot of time, and it's not any easier when you have to see her everyday. But you're young...
I'm sorry. We both know that's a load of crap. I think you're taking it pretty well, actually.
no subject
[He scoops some ice cream into his mouth, a thoughtful look on his face.]
I guess I know I'll get over it eventually. It's just waiting for it that sucks.
no subject
So what else have you been up to?
no subject
Class, training. Haven't really gotten out much lately.
no subject
You have to keep some outside interests, you'll burn out if you push yourself too hard. We should have a poker night, maybe shoot some pool. Think any of the other guys would be interested?
no subject
I remember when you used to give us detention for gambling, now you want to organise a poker night?
[He chuckles as he presses the lid on the ice cream container, and then he gets up, replacing the container in the freezer and dropping the spoon in the sink.]
Yeah, I think some of the guys would enjoy it.
[He pauses for a moment and smiles at the other man.]
Thanks, Mister Summers. I don't know if I ever said this, but it's really good having you around again.
no subject
It's really good to be here, Bobby.
