[Laura is sitting quietly in the hotel lobby, looking through a travel guide pamphlet placed on one of the tables nearby. She might be waiting for someone. Or maybe she's just reading up on what there is to see besides the major landmarks she already knows.]

[Laura pauses to look back. Megan wanted to go shopping, but she was still sleeping with Laura woke up. Still, she hovers for a moment, as if--well, as if Bobby might come out of the woodwork. :P She turns back to Josh, deciding just them is better off anyway.]

All right.

I was thinking we should really do it all tourist-like and take one of the double-decker busses.

That's fine. [Laura says this just as quietly, pulling her leather, fur-lined jacket tighter around her, because it's too damned cold in London as they turn towards a conveniently located double-decker tourist bus stop. Caaaaauuuuse they are at a hotel and tourist buses go here.]

[Bobby's already there, waiting for a bus. He's surprised but pleased to see them, and flashes them a smile.]

Hey! Where are you guys headed?

[Laura blinks in slight surprise and something... else as she spots Bobby. The wind was blowing towards him; she had not caught his scent. Josh and Laura stop in front of him.]

We are catching the next bus to the London Eye.

Mind if I tag along? I've just been sitting here trying to figure out where I actually want to go.

[He indicates the small guidebook in his hand, which he'd bought before they'd left the mansion. Because he's always prepared. Like any good Boy Scout.]

I don't mind. [She tears her stare away from Bobby to glance at Josh.] We were going on the Ferris Wheel.

Umm, yeah.

Think my good looks will cause any problems there?

[Laura just blinks at you, Josh. Just. Blinks. She's more confused at what you are implying than wondering if you're good-looking or not.]

Hey, they were about to throw me off the plane earlier.

[Oh, he didn't mean come between her and Bobby. Well, she can have this conversation. She chooses not to entertain the thought that there is anything between her and Bobby to come between.]

If they do, Bobby can act as a diplomat.

Well, he'd be better at it than me.

[Bobby's amused by this.]

There's something really bizarre about being this high off the road in a bus.

[He notices a few people staring at Josh, and is not amused by it. But he decides to let it go, directing his next question to Josh, though he keeps his body angled so that Laura can join in on the conversation.]

When are you and Jono visiting Gayle?

[Bobby can try to keep her in this conversation, but Laura's her quiet self: looking at the scenery, back at them during certain points of interest. But she's hyper-aware of them both and the attention Josh is attracting. And the heat of Bobby next to her.

She's listening, really. Listening to the whispers of slurs from the people on the bus. She hears someone say, "Look at him, pretending like he's normal. What's a pretty girl and a nice boy like them doing with mutie scum?"

She angles her head a little and finds the source: some overweight middle-aged man. She stares him down; he fidgets under the attention. The he says to his wife, "I think she's might be one too."

Silently, Laura turns her head back.]

Heh.

The day after the show.

[Bobby nods.]

Nervous?

[Out of the corner of his eye, he sees a woman lean over and whisper to her companion, both of them staring directly at the three of them. After spending so much time in the mansion and his decidedly mutant-friendly community college, Bobby is really unused to people staring. He's trying not to pay attention, but it's grating on him.]

Nah, not so much. Whatever happens, we're just going to be fleeing the country in a few days, anyway.

Our stop, guys!

[When they get off the bus, the first thing they see is a huge crown of people. There are a lot of tourists milling around and queuing up for the attraction. The three mutants just join the line, looking up at the Eye.]

I'm assuming neither of you guys are afraid of heights, right?

[Laura follows Bobby's gaze to the top of the building quietly, and then looks over to him and Josh.] No. Although you should be afraid of falling.

Come on. I have no idea what everyone else is up to today, but at least we're seeing the city today!

Guys, this is awesome!

[Josh's enthusiasm is pretty infectious, though Bobby refrains from dashing around the car.]

This view is incredible!

Yeah, totally.

Smile, you two!

[Bobby puts his arm around Laura, because that's what you do when you're in a photo with friends. Oh, stupid oblivious Bobby.

Josh seems to be having some issue with the camera and the photo is taking longer than Bobby expected.]

Have you actually taken the picture yet?

[Stupid, stupid Bobby. Laura does not react to the weight of his arm with much emotion, but inside she does. She turns her head slightly, looks up at his slightly crooked smile as he asks Josh his question.

She reaches to put her arm around his waist, slowly and with calculation. That's what she's supposed to do.]

[Josh finally says "Got it!" Bobby takes his sweet time moving away from Laura. He turns around and looks out over London.]

Hey Laura, there's the National Gallery. We still going to explore it?
