[Julian's just enjoying dinner, looking a little haggard and worse for wear after working out all day. It's just what he does when life gives him lemons. Also when he realizes he's been an unmitigated ass.

He gets over laughing at some joke of Jono's, and then his smile is wiped off his face and he freezes. Because he spots Rogue walking into the cafeteria, their eyes lock, and then she understandably turns on her heel to leave.

But Julian Keller isn't deterred by this, because he's been at her door once a day trying to talk to her, even though she hasn't given him a chance to apologize again yet. His chair screeches as he gets up abruptly, and this earns him a few stares, but he manages to run and catch up with her down the hall, reaching out a hand to gently touch her arm for only a second, just to get her attention.]

Rogue, c'mon. Just give me a chance.

[That hurt. D: He's a kicked puppy, but he has some dignity okay. He's looking her in the eye and he's standing up straight. Isn't that counting for something?? He just gazes at her with a slight grimace and just lots of remorse.]

I got the message, sweetheart. [Then he gestures to the general world with his hand as if to say "why wouldn't I keep on?"] I had to try.

[Not even Rogue can keep being so mean to a kicked puppy even if he was being ridiculously pathetic just now because he totally deserved it. She sighs resignedly and gives him another one of her somewhat suspicious looks. Her hands slowly uncurled and flattened against her thighs.]

You know that if you ever try something like that again, I'll drain you dry, right?

[He will happily take it okay. Threats are awesome. He loves threats. His kicked puppy face turns ever so hopeful, but down boy. He only perks up a little because he's not going to jump the gun about being out of the woods yet.]

[OH GOD OUT OF ALL THE THINGS. Still, Julian breaks out a tentatively amused and pained smirk, feet rooted in place as she backs away.]

[Yeah, Julian sees that, but he's still smiling as he watches her go (his gaze doesn't linger on her ass for a second or two, no) because hells yeah bitches, she warmed up a little and it's a start. Yeah, he's just got to play this right and they'll be bffs again.]
