Two Jono and Meg scenes

Sorry, I'm too lazy to log in and out.
Three weeks ago:

Meg never felt comfortable with going down to Jono's room in the basement, even though he had invited her down there before. She always felt like she would be barging in on him somehow. But she hadn't seen him in days, ever since his run-in with Rogue where she had accidentally absorbed his powers. Meg hadn't even had a chance to talk to Jono about it, but only heard about it from the grapevine and was anxious to see how he was doing.

Meg finally managed to catch Jono as he was heading downstairs. "Hey, Jono," she called out.

"Oh, hey, girl," he answered.

Meg decided to risk sounding a slight bit intrusive and said, "You're looking kind of glum lately."

"Ahh," Jono said, stopping to anxiously ruffle up his own hair. "Yeah, you're right. Anyway. No point in trying to pretend nothing's wrong, I guess. I'm sure you already know what happened."

"Yeah, I heard a little bit..." Meg started to say.

"It's just - you ever feel limited when it comes to your powers? Like you just can't even control yourself?"

Surprised he was opening up at all, Meg stammered a bit at first and then answered him.

"Well, I have been wearing my helmet since I got here. So I guess, yeah I have. Is this about what... what Rogue could do with your powers?" Meg guessed.

"It just frustrates me that I never even knew I could do that." Jono replied. Meg frowned.

"Maybe you just need help. Maybe one of the teachers would help you?" she suggested.

"Warren offered to help me, but, I mean, look at me - you see any wings?! I couldn't help it, I kind of blew up at him for no good reason. He was just being nice, but I patched things up with him, so I guess that's done. But I don't know if I'd want him to help me get up in the air. I'd just feel like I'm way behind him," Jono explained.

"You know... I know it's not at all the same kind of flying with me, either, but I could be there for you for... moral support?" Meg offered.

"It's sweet of ya," Jono said, with a slight smile in his eyes.

He looked a little less depressed, Meg decided, and tried to bring up her courage one more time. "Have you even tried?"

Jono didn't say anything in response, but gave her a look and took off his scarf. The flames in his chest danced around as he tried to channel their force, but nothing happened. "Guess not," he said eventually.

Today:

"How's everything going?" Meg asked brightly when she saw Jono outside of the mansion. He was just getting home from somewhere - Meg could only guess. Although he would always talk with her when she struck up conversation, Jono never really told her too many details and she wished she could get to know him better.

"Alright, girl," he said, "doing much better, really."

"Did you want to try your flying again today?" Meg asked hopefully.

"I think I'm getting there," Jono said. "Look at this." He set his bag down and took a short jump, but then remained hovered in the air, a few feet off the ground.

Meg beamed at him. "Yay! You're staying up longer!"

Jono came back down with an ungraceful stomp, and said, "Well, it'll definitely be awhile before I can just hover like you can."

"Okay, well, that's different, this really is my mutation!" Meg said.

"How high up can you go?"

"I'm not really too sure... definitely up to the roof, and, I don't really know..." Meg started to say.

"Hmm, let's see," Jono said. He grabbed the tiny Meg around the waist and tossed her high into the air. Her wings started fluttering as fast as he'd ever seen them go.

"Warn me next tiiime!"
