Science Assignment

I can’t really say when my wings first appeared. They’ve always been there, I can’t remember a time when they weren’t. They’ve grown with me. However, my second mutation, the pixie dust that causes hallucinations, first manifested when I was about twelve.

I’ve heard from a few mutants that their powers manifested at the start of puberty and it was around that time for me, but it was a very difficult time in my life, because one of my older brothers had just been killed. I remember that everyone was really upset, including myself. My Mum was crying and I just wanted to make her feel better. So I just kind of, made her hallucinate that Reese was still there. I don’t quite remember how, I just wanted to do it and it happened.

As for environmental things, there was nothing out of the ordinary. It was cold, but it’s always cold back home.

I couldn’t really say where I thought I got my mutations from. I suppose it could be from either, because (tell me if I’m going wrong here) I think my old science teacher told me that it doesn’t matter about which parent genes are from, it just matters which of the two is most dominant. I suppose you could never really know unless you tested it or something. I’m a lot like my Dad in looks and personality, so I think maybe I have more of his genes than I have of my Mam’s. Also, I never knew any of my Dad's family and I never knew if any of them were mutants, so any of them could have passed the gene on to me through my Dad.

I found this assignment really difficult, so I don’t think I did very well! Sorry.
