Piotr's English Assignment #1
I do not watch many movies and you know my English writing is sometimes not so good, but I hope this assignment is alright. It might be a little bit too long, I am sorry.
I have not watched many movies, but this is the one that I remember as the most romantic I have seen. There are many different storylines in the film, but I think the ones that are the most romantic are the ones that follow Juliet, Peter and Mark, and Jamie and Aurelia.
Juliet and Peter are shown to marry in the film, and Mark is Peter’s best friend and best man. He makes a video of the ceremony, and when the official wedding video turns out to look horrible, Juliet asks to see the footage Mark has taken. It turns out that the video only contains close-ups of her: Mark is in love with her, even though he acts ‘cold’ towards her. He is embarrassed and leaves. Later, he turns up at her and Peter’s doorstep and uses signs to tell her that he believes she is perfect and that he will always love her. She gives him one kiss, and he leaves to move on with his life and let his friend keep his happiness.
I think this is very romantic because it shows that love does not always have to have the ending you want it to. It can sometimes be embarrassing for someone to find out how you feel about them, but in the end your feelings must be made known so that you can live your life, even if you know the other person does not care for you.
The other storyline I think is romantic is Jamie and Aurelia. Jamie returns from Juliet and Peter’s wedding to find that his wife (who he loves) having an affair with his brother. He leaves for a house in
I think this storyline shows that when you are with someone, you can have your eyes closed to what is really happening and who is around you. Jamie loved his wife so much that he did not think she could have an affair. It was only until after he left her that he was able to look at the world with fresh eyes, and it was then that he found Aurelia, the true love of his life. This is what I believe is true romance, also – both Jamie and Aurelia were willing to make sacrifices and work very hard in order to hang on to a relationship that began with very bad communication.

But I LOVE YOU SERIOUSLY.
Because I was like dying to figure out what romantic movie Julian would look TWICE at (I think my words to Bria were: "I don't think he's ever really truly watched a romantic movie... I mean, it could have been playing in front of him, but...") AND for some reason, this has got me to figure it out!
