[Forge gets tackled, almost thrown despite his massive form, by Elektra, sprawling on his back with a sy closing in on his face. His metal arm flies up to block, kicking his opponent in the gut and sending her backward. He's half a room away from Rogue, can't rely on her backup to help fend off the neverending swarm of Hand. He can't provide backup for her, either, and he can see a heavy reliance on the icy psyche she's called up. He frowns, thinking This is probably what Logan was warning me about... He remembers the conversation very clearly:
"Don't crowd her if it looks like she's struggling, just keep an eye on her. She needs to get control of herself on her own. You'll know if and when you need to intervene."
"How?"
"Because it won't be Rogue anymore."
"But--"
"Trust me, you'll know."]
How you doing over there, girl?
[Logan's words are ominous, echoing in Forge's head, and he's starting to feel like maybe the ridiculously advanced setting he's got them training at wasn't such a good idea.]
