Theresa`s Science Assignment
I sort of rambled in the first paragraph, so sorry about that Dr. McCoy.
Me power first manifested when I was 11, maybe 12. I’m not really too sure. I think it was closer to 12, since me dad was back in me life, and I was living with him when I got me powers. I had woken up in the middle of the night because of a nightmare. I kept having these real kickers about how me cousin Black Tom was going to come and kidnap me again. I woke up screaming, and the next thing I knew the windows in me room, along with anything else made of glass was shattering, Me dad ran in so fast, but me screaming didn’t seem to hurt him, since he has the same power. That wasn’t really the first time they manifested. I had accidentally cracked a glass when I sort of shrieked a few weeks earlier, but me dad could of also been holding the glass too hard, which could of also caused the cracking. Anyways, I remember feeling real scared when I woke up, but also real unsafe. I hadn’t really had a home with me cousin, and I hardly knew me dad. At the time, it felt as if I had nowhere to go, and no one to turn too. I think me powers manifested then, to sort of bring comfort to me. Knowing that I had this powerful ability helped me sleep better, and feel more safe, since I knew that I’d be able to defend me self, if I ever had to.
I think me dad passed the mutant gene to me, since he’s a mutant with the same powers as me. Also, I never knew me mum, and I hate asking me dad about her, but I think she was a human.
