[Laura is sitting on the mansion's steps, bundled up in a winter jacket three times her size, and a scarf that smells quite musky. They are hand-me-downs from Logan. To be honest, she prefers the smell of him to freshly laundered anything, because it reminds her she is not alone in this world. Logan is her family, if he is anything, and Laura does not have family.
She is cross-legged, simply watching the trees, her nose and cheeks red with the cold. She is thinking.]
