Far as I've been able to tell it works like this: I hear a sound, I convert it, store it, save it for a rainy day. Basics. I can't convert and store every sound I hear--and god, who would want to with some of the crap that's out there--so most of the time I let stuff slide off the surface. [She shrugs, thumbing at his gun.] If something's too loud, then I pick up the juice, absorb just enough that my eardrums don't rupture and I can still hear it when I'm whistlin' dixie.
