[scene] A low-key friday night...
Remy sat in the games room, watching the news from the back corner. He flipped a card over between his fingers, eyeing Jubilee. She sat on the back of the couch, talking animatedly to Jones, while the younger boy frowned, trying to pay attention to the newscaster without obviously ignoring what she was saying.
Looking at the time, his card and then the TV again, Remy sighed, eyes darting back to Jubilee's wild gestures. He smiled, noticing her jacket hanging loosely on a chair. He felt around in his coat pockets for something, grinning when he produced a black felt-tipped marker. Snapping the Ace of hearts card on the table in front of him, he began scribbling a few short lines before he capped the pen once more and rose to leave, slipping the card in pocket of Jubilee's unattended garment.
After about ten more minutes of talking at Jones, Jubilee decided to go in search of some more responsive conversation, stopping mid-stride as she entered the hallway, feeling something strange in her pocket. Pulling out, she revealed the playing card, thick black letters scribbled across the face:
"Here's Remy's heart.
Please return to room 104 of the boy's dormitory.
Merci."
"Oh please." She laughed at how cheesy it was, fingering the corner of the Ace, tapping the card once, and then putting it back in her pocket. "Still, no sense throwing it away..."
